Binder update

About a month ago I made a post about purchasing my first binding garment from Underworks. I suggested that pics might be forthcoming. Well, I’ve had it for about 3 weeks, and I’ve been wearing it somewhat consistently. My thoughts: It had been suggested to me that the binder would be uncomfortable, and possibly make it hard to breath. I have not found that to be the case. Maybe that means I need a smaller…

Urgh! It sucks so hard to be just inside the fringe of a group enough to known something went down, and not inside enough to know what happened!!! 🙁 If anybody knows what the RLSH shakeup Geist is talking about is, PLEASE PM. -D

On the road…

I finally made the decision, and did something I’d been considering for quite a while in the abstract, and about a week, in the concrete. I ordered a binder from underworks which hopefully when I wear it will reduce the giant mass leaping forward from my chest, thereby allowing me to wear the shirts I like, and present as a male without looking like an idiot. It turned out I was smack in the middle…

Might as well post this here I guess

Don’t know if anyone on my regular flist will have an answer but: So, I’ve started trying to wear my pants around my hips, instead of around my waist, as I have done for all the years of my life. Looks great, and much more masculine, only problem is I constantly feel like they’re a second away from falling off and answering the boxers of briefs question. Is this a sizing issue? Issue of not…

Well-known Otherkin Stabbed to death

Matthew Finnigan, a dragon otherkin known as starblade-enkai died September 22, 2010 having been stabbed in a friend’s apartment. The suspect, his friend, James Torrey Hill, has plead not guilty to murder and is being held in custody. Starblade was known as the originator of “Fuck you, I’m a dragon”, and while some may not have found him the easiest person to get along with, I know I at least, am saddened to hear of…

Well, dad, maybe I wouldn’t be moving out if you made me feel valued instead of despised. And mom, you wouldn’t be in financial trouble due to my “sudden” leaving if you had listened to me six months ago when I said I was going to move out. -D

Yes yes yes!

Met with Nick, the prospective roommate, at lunch today. I am ecstatic to discover that he is just as serious about this as I am. We talked habits, chores, finances, furniture, etc. We have officially moved out of the “possibility” stage, and into the “Actively looking for an apartment stage.” I’ve already made about 4 phone calls. We’re looking at the first apartment on Friday. A part of me really thinks this is going to…

Some Zelda Creepypasta with vids

Don’t know if any of you have seen this yet, but there’s some awesomely creepy Majora’s Mask stuff going down. Watch the vieos in order, and read the attendant narration. We’re still awaiting the final chapter. http://inuscreepystuff.blogspot.com/2010/09/majora.html www.joystiq.com/2010/09/10/haunted-majoras-mask-cartridge-detailed-on-video/#continued kotaku.com/comment/28939581/ Also being posted on /x/ which is probably where the conclusion will show up. Honestly this stuff creeped me the eff out. 😛

Managing

I managed to work up the nerve to talk to mom about moving on our drive into work this morning. I had been planning to talk to her about it when we went to the laundromat, but she kept putting it off. Honestly, I ended up doing that “being deliberately quiet until she asks you what’s wrong” thing. I mostly told her the truth, though I did emphasize that I wanted to leave so I…

Hardship

Its been a difficult couple of weeks. I thought with my brother home from the hospital, I might be able to enjoy some pleasant time at home. I thought “Well, he’s still sick. Of course mom and dad will walk on egg shells around him so he won’t throw a fit”. Of course I was wrong. At some points my father seems to be going absolutely out of his way to torment my brother. This…

Something new

Well, we finally came across some active Dreamwidth codes thanks to the recent LJ/FB debacle and how could we resist? Managed to snag overlord_mordax before the hot competition got too it as well, and imported everything. We’ll see how this works out. David, additionally, got his own DW account, as he’s been wanting for some time. You can catch him at jtiberiusk if he ever bothers to update. -Mordax

FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU

56 inches?! 56! Really? I guess I’ve been deluding myself about our bra size. No wonder store bought bras don’t fit. No wonder I can’t find a men’s vest that fits. Ugh! Do you know what that means we should be wearing? It means we should be wearing a 46J!! Fuuuuuuuuuuu Some days I just want to tear them off. -D

On Headmates and friends

This post originally appeared as advice to a specific person, however, I think it has enough merit to appear, in edited form, as a general advisory. Healthy skepticism, while not a particularly *fun* trait to have, is I think a very important thing. Just accepting anything someone tells you might seem like a good idea at first, but then you can be blindsided when things turn out differently. Is it weird to be kin and…

Meals in the Household

I feel like the flist could use some levity, so I’m going to share this anecdote. When we were a kid our parents often complained of how picky an eater we were. In actuality, we both have fairly broad tastes, the problem, even before we knew consciously we were separate, was agreeing on what to eat. To demonstrate, consider the conversation below, which happened only moments ago. I want to emphasize that this happened pretty…

Thrills! Excitement! Rocket Poppeteers!

Some of you know what a big ARG nerd I am. Well, I’ve been following the nascent campaign surrounding JJA’s upcoming alien flick, “Super 8”. Weeks ago we players found an in-game newspaper ad/coupon for “Rocket Poppeteers”, an astronaut club surrounding an imaginary brand of Rocket Pops desserts, and we all sent them to the address, along with our desired “astronaut name”. Today, the long awaited reply came. Interestingly when I sent my astronaut name…

The Red Cloak

Reading around on the SHH forum, I found out about an interesting japanese urban legend. The things seem to spread like wildfire over there, don’t they? But this was one I hadn’t heard, and it kinda creeped me out, so I wanted to share it. I did NOT write or transcribe this. It was found on the net, and describes several different versions of a Japanese urban legend. Red Cloak (Aka Manto), also known as…

Well, no WONDER no one wants to buy our YA novel

David: I write likeChuck Palahniuk I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing! Mordax I write likeStephen King I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing! I didn’t really believe it, so I ran several of our pieces of writing each through the thing. The results were 100% for David, and mostly consistent for me (I tend to vary my style a bit). -Mordax Shamefully, I haven’t actually read…
