Chris paused with the cooler, watching Wesker and Rebecca setting up the umbrella and beach chairs by the water.

Jill appeared at his elbow, with a big grin. “Imagine if we had all become lifeguards instead of joining STARS.”

Chris raised his eyebrows. “What, like Baywatch?”

“Yeah! Hey, it’s not too late! Maybe we should all resign!”

“I don’t think the captain will go for it. It’s kind of a miracle we got him to come to the beach with us.”

“Too bad, he looks great with his shirt off.”

Chris flushed, smiling as he looked again. “… he sure does.”
